Once a month, we invite our apprentices to each branch to celebrate them completing their probation. We use, what we call Probation Day, to celebrate and acknowledge the hard work put in over the first 3 months of their apprenticeship, to discuss and do refresher training on Workplace Health and Safety, to discuss the importance of their mental health and our expectations of them as an apprentice.
We have had great feedback from our Probation Days over the last couple of years and have seen great improvement in relationships between the apprentices and their field officers.
